I have a pair of martin logan SL3's and a Cinema center the screen is a 52 x 92 Stewart permanent mount screen, I was wondering whether there would be any advantage of mounting the center channel above the screen instead of below it, any ideas or recommendations on this. thanks.

Are you wall mounting the center channel? I'd try both positions and decide by which location sounds best. Every set-up, I've seen so far has place the center below the screen.

Once upon a time I saw a post in which someone suggested one above and one below, balanced to give an image of being behind the screen.

I've also heard someone else report that they weren't satisfied with the image that they got with this technique. If you try this, let us know your impressions.

Ken,
I previously had a Martin Logan Logos center. I tried it in both locations and prefered it wall mounted above the screen angled down slightly.
My main speakers were the Infinity IRS Beta's, which had a high sound stage like your SL3's. Hope this helps.
