Just wondering what type of 16X9 screen you guys would suggest using with the Sony 1272Q?

With a 7" CRT unit I would go no larger than 80"x45" if you plan to use a 16:9 screen. I use this screen size with my NEC 7" CRT projector and it gives a nice bright and sharp picture. Also, stick with a low gain (1.3 gain)screen material for better color uniformity across the entire screen.

The Imaging Science Foundation suggests using a 72"wide screen size with a 7" CRT projector for the best possible image.

I use a 100" Draper Cineperm 1.3 wall mounted screen. It's 4:3 though.
The picture is fantastic! Be sure you get a line doubler!! DVDO V2 works great!!

Sam and I essentially are using the same screen size since both of our screens are 80" wide.

I am using a Stewart 2.5 gain 96x54 screen with my 1272Q. I am driving this with a Faroudja 2200 at 600p. The image does suffer slightly from hotspotting because of the very high gain, but the image is plenty bright and sharp enough with my setup, and I really wanted the larger screen.

I agree with Brian and Darren, by the way. The ideal setup for this projector (as far as image quality) is definately a lower gain, smaller screen. My solution was to me a way to get "almost as good" image quality on a larger screen.
