Question about new screen

My buddy is wanting to replace his screen. He has a Mitsubishi Hc5500 1080p projector. He's currently using a cheap elite manual pull down 100 inch screen. Wants to upgrade to a 120 inch screen with better light absorption so he can more ambient light in the room. His projector is shooting straight enough he's not worried about having consistent light dispersed across the screen. He also would like to wait until 4k projectors come down a little in price but wants a screen that will take advantage of that in the sub $500 range. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions

I'm assuming a higher quality screen will make a dramatic improvement.

That would fit the bill.

I don't think spending more would make a "dramatic" difference. It would depend on other factors. Frame construction is another reason some screens cost more but everyone seems to like Silver Ticket frames so...
