Hey guys! I have a Epson 6030ub coming in and from what ive read, due to my living room situation i need a grey screen. I have some ambient light coming from the side and back during the day, can control a little but still. And of course at night it can be pitch black. I am looking for about a 80-84 inch screen in grey but i can only seem to find them in white. Oh and I need a manual or motorized drop down. Trying to be cheap about it because i might end up switching it out in the near future if i move. If i can go bigger later i will asap. But like i said, I cant find any grey. Do you guys think Im better off with grey, or is matte white good enough, or any suggestions where to buy. I see some $80-$300 avg on amazon which have good reviews. Thats not bad. i just dont want to spend over $400 on a screen that might get replaced rather quick. Yes Im being cheap lol but i need to invest my money else where right now.
Look at the Da-lite Model B with High contrast Matte White material. It is probably the best you can get in your price range. They do custom sizes and custom amount of black drop if needed. Usually it is about the cost of the next bigger size, so it should be close to the 92" for price.
92" Model B MSRP: $211
92" Model B with CSR MSRP: $352
White case is standard, if you want black it is an extra $17.
Thank you sir, I appreciate it. Unfortunately they go from 77"to 92" . I checked several models and they all do this. I see an elite screens spectrum 84" 16:9 on amazon for $200. Thinking about going for it. What do you think?
Da-lite makes custom sizes, if you need an 84" they will do it, you want an 86" they will do it. With custom sizes you usually pay the next larger size, so if you need 84" you pay for the 92". I would go with the Da-lite. You won't find the custom sizing online, I'd call AVS or deal with a local dealer.
Unfortunately yes. I don't have much room and, I'm probably moving in the near future. In Wich case I'd be upgrading the screen to how ever much bigger I can go.
