Better Screen or New Projector?

We just recently moved into a new home. I am planning my new theater area in our multipurpose basement. My old carada bright white screen stayed with my previous house.

I am still using my old Marantz projector which I still love. My question is regarding purchasing a new screen. My screen of choice is the Stewart studiotek 130 G3. However, I can purchase a new silver ticket for considerable less money.

Should I go for the Stewart screen or put the additional money into a new projector and buy a silver ticket screen?

Opinions?

Although a better screen does make a noticeable difference and is a good long term investment, I think in your case you will see a bigger difference in an upgrade of the projector. I owned some Marantz projectors and while they threw a great image for their day the new ones are just much better. I'm not sure which projector you reconsidering but a compromise might be to go with the Stewart Cima Neve and go one level down in projector. To me the Studiotek 130 except for the added gain is not better than thee Cima Neve.

Thanks Ellebob. The actual achieved 1.3 gain is what attracts me to the studiotek.

My projector is a VP15s1

If you keep that projector than the added gain would be nice but with a newer projector it probably won't be needed as most are a lot brighter than the Marantz.
