Recommendations for retractable AT screen?

What options do I have for a retractable AT screen? Does the screen sway during bass-heavy moments or when the central A/C is blowing in the room? Can you use any AT screen material or does the material have to be "compatible" with the retractable screen system?

What is your price range? Do you want an in-ceiling installation, or an on-wall/under-ceiling mount? How big do you want?

I like these screens from Severtson (Select their BWAT material, that's their AT for electric screens):
-wall mounted tab-tensioned screens
-in-ceiling tab-tensioned screens

Apparently they don't offer any AT electric screens except the tab-tensioned - but I usually prefer the tensioned ones anyhow.

Price range is about $5,000 max for screen + mount.

Looking at their BWAT material, do you think the weave is fine enough for an 8 or so ft viewing distance?

I need an on-wall/under-ceiling mount but it will have to be floating in front of the front wall as there will be speakers behind it (not in-wall speakers). I guess I'll have to find a way to float the mount in front of the wall.

Seymour makes top notch retractable AT screens ( as does Stewart ).

Stewart makes woven AT screens? If so, how do they compare to the good woven AT screens from Seymour and other relative brands?

They did, but I'm not sure they still do, and I don't think it was available in an electric screen, come to think of it. I can't find it on the website. But I didn't see that you specified woven only. I've seen the StudioTek 130 microperfed and it looked really good to me.

Thanks. The reason I am looking at a woven screen is due to my (short) viewing distance of 8 or so ft.

Screen Innovations. 3 different AT materials. Maestro, Pure and Slate. (Slate is ALR as well).

Thanks for the recommendations.

For my budget (around $5,000 max for screen + mount) for an AT retractable screen, which out of all the recommended screens should I pay more attention to? For a fixed screen, I was looking at the V6 or the AT Ref but it seems I won't be able to get those with an retractable mount.

Since I'll have the LCR speakers (or maybe just the center speaker) behind the AT retractable screen, how could I suspend the retractable AT screen "system" or mount in front of the speakers (which have a depth of 14 inches)? Could I attach the screen mount to a wooden plank or something that is suspended at least 15 inches from the wall? Sorry, I don't have great building knowledge so need all the help I can get. I won't be able to attach the screen to the ceiling as it is too high (9.5 ft).

For that close a viewing, you should request a sample of our new Enlightor-Neo material, possibly the -4K and Center Stage UF just to see them too, but the Neo is the best AT material I'm aware of that can be viewed at 8ft.

Cheers,
Chris
