I understand that Don has been under the weather, and hope his recovery goes well.

Nevertheless I have left emails, posts on this forum, and phone messages to Don, without a peep from him or his staff. I see that he is recently responding to requests here, and I doubt that my request for services has fallen through the cracks.

Therefore, I'll take my business to Da-Lite.

Why not just call Stewart and speak to someone in Sales. Everytime I've ever contacted Stewart they have been pleasant to deal with and answered my questions. Don has employees for a reason. With his surgery just last week, I would think being a little more patient and sensitive during his recovery would be appropriate. As stated above, try getting your answers from Sales or Customer Service, 800-762-4999.

DMan:
Been there, done that - was told I needed to talk to Don.

Anyway the point is now moot. Da-Lite has risen to the occasion, and they have a solution I'm interested in.

Dear Mike,
I regret that I missed your attempt to personally communicate with me. As you may or may not know, I was out of the office, since Oct 1, on a medical leave of absence. I have only been well enough to monitor and respond to the AVS forum for the past week or so. After reading you post this morning I did go back and check my forum personal email for the past 30 days. I also checked the screen forum topic headers to see if anything was directed to me during the past 30 days. I found neither. It was only when I did a search on your personal screen name that I found a question directed to me, but it was buried deep under a different topic header. Mike, I do try to make a sincere effort to answer all personal emails as many forum members can attest to. Again... I am sorry that we did not connect.
BTW... Da-Lite is an excellent choice for replacing the stock RP screen that came with you original RPTV box unit. Da-lite has spent considerable time and money in addressing the aftermarket needs for consumer rear projection units. I believe they have a good database with the actual screen cut sizes to match most of the popular RP models out there.

Sincerely,
Don Stewart

Yeah! Don't be so hard on Don. His record of answering e-mails is one hell of a lot better than mine.

I was pretty much sold on a Stewart screen for my HT already. Let me just say that after reading Don's response how can anyone not want to do business with Stewart. Not only did he not talk down the competition he went out of his way to praise them. Don, you're a true professional. Two big thumbs up!!:D
