Hi Don,
hope your health is getting better. I had a couple of question and thanks a lot in advance for your advice.

I've pretty much narrowed down my search to the 135 in. 16:9 screen.
- The G11 will be at about 18 ft. away, but can be a couple of feet nearer/farther if required.
- The screen wall will be (soon) covered with GOM black fabric, but that can be skipped per suggestions
- All other walls will be painted neutral/light gray
- There will not be any lights on while viewing
- I will be calibrating the G11 with Dilard 2.2 and colorimeter which will probably lower the output from its current 1000 lumens to around 800? (Mark Hunter may have a better approximation)

Would this setup be fine for the screen size, or would the 123in. screen be a better option?

Should I even look at studiotek130 as an option?

Finally, who should I contact to get a sample, since the regional rep who I e-mailed had a local dealer contact me with a design and quote, but no information on samples.

Thanks again to everyone,
Sanjiv Prakash

While Don is taking out the garbage* .... :)

Without knowing the size of your entire screen wall, nor your seating distance from the screen, I cannot factor those items into your screen size decision. The difference in ft.lamberts between the two (quick calculation) is about 2.5 ft.lamberts...between just over 13 and just over 15. Don is, of course, the expert here.

Hi Dennis,
thank you for the quick response.
The screen wall is 19'w x 8'h with the screen sitting 3.5' from the right side of the room.
Total length of the room is 29' and width at the opposite end from the screen is 16'
The projector will be 18'-20' from the screen on the floor with the sofa right behind it. Both placements are flexible.
I'm pretty much the only viewer 8 times out of 10, with my wife and daughter watching a rare movie now and then.
Almost all viewing is DVDs and there is total light control in the room.
There is one entry and a small window opposite the screen wall that is covered completely.

Sorry the figure is rough. Thanks for all the help.

You have adequate seating distance, wall width, and height, the foot lamberts are within range, I'd go for the 135" screen. (You don't want the width of the screen to exceed 80% of the wall width and you're way, way within that.)

Hi Dennis,
thank you for confirming the screen size. I can now start the process of ordering the items. Hope it will all come together before christmas.
Thanks again,
Sanjiv
