A good program online is this: http://www.cavecreations.com/tv2.cgi

4:3 (1.33:1) standard mode
Your viewing area is 64.0 in(w) x 48.0 in(h)
Total viewing area is 3072 sq in.

16:9 (1.78:1) letterbox mode
Your viewing area is 64.0 in(w) x 36.0 in(h)
The diagonal size is 73.4 in

This is the equivalent of a 73.4 inch 16:9 TV
Your viewing area is decreased by 25.0% from 4:3 mode

16:9 (1.85:1) letterbox mode
Your viewing area is 64.0 in(w) x 34.6 in(h)
The diagonal size is 72.8 in
Total viewing area is 2214.4 sq in.
Your viewing area is decreased by 27.9% from 4:3 mode

16:9 (2.35:1) letterbox mode
Your viewing area is 64.0 in(w) x 27.2 in(h)
The diagonal size is 69.5 in
Total viewing area is 1740.8 sq in.
