I'm thinking of building a screen for my CRT projector. My
idea is to make it out of solid chipboard as I can get a
laminated white piece with only a slight texture, which has
a slightly shiny surface. From what I've read, a flat white
wall has a gain of around one, so would a gain of about
1.2 be realistic from a slightly shiny white surface? I'll be
using a black felt surround to mask the edges and block
the annoying AKB line from my projector.
Does this sound like a reasonable idea, or would it be
better to go for a frame with a fabric screen? Thanks.
