I have a Dalite model B High Power. I have been using it with my
table mounted CRT projector. I am about to ceiling mount my projector. In this configuration will the High Power give me at least the reflectivity of an ordinary matte screen material? Or will I have even less brightness than with a matte screen? I'm asking because if the two will be comparable there's not much sense in my purchasing a matte screen to replace the HP.

It is my understanding (and I have eyeballed this) that the HP has a gain of about 2.8 with a floor mount setup and about 1.3 to 1.6 with a ceiling mount. It's probably not worth replacing with the Matt white. I would give it a try.

I would agree with dinode here Bob. I have a Dalite beaded screen with a high gain and have used it both with a ceiling mounted CRT and a ceiling mounted DLP. Though you do lose gain with a ceiling mount on a high reflective screen, it's still more than a matte white screen...
