Hey everyone..

My projector can be configured to display a 16:9 or 4:3 image to whatever kind of input..

Since I built my screen into a 16:9 I have the extra black light coming from the letterbox being projected onto my wall.. Part of the annoyance is that it is shaped like a trapezoid due to the angle on the ceiling.

How could I cover up or remove all the light except for the image being displayed onto the 16:9 screen????

Any thoughts.. I'll include a pic..

The quality of my cam sucks- 800,000 pixels.. and the picture is taken with all the lights on in the room..

Masking at PJ or on wall should help hide the "black" (really more dark gray) bars. You can use black felt, flat black paint, or black poster cards (search digital PJ section for "VMS" or Virtual Masking System with pics for details on masking at PJ instead of wall).

Other option is kinda expensive but an anamorphic lens will turn your 4:3 PJ into a 16:9 PJ and thus no bars.

Heuy,

Masking @ the projectore would probably prove to be the easiest- more inconspicuous (spelling???) method of solving my problem. what material should I use to try and mask over the lens with..

Thanks!!
