I have read the threads on the DIY cheap screen solutions (Goosystems, painted wall, plastic sheets etc..) with much interest.

For various reasons I will have to mount my center speaker behind the screen which I gather means a very expensive screen. Has anyone here found a cheap DIY solution for this mounting configuration?

I tried searching and couldn't find any information but I could be using the wrong keywords.

I am not a audio nut by any means, but this setup works just fine
as far as I am concerned. I am using blackout material for a screen which works great with crt pj. It hangs across the
corner of the room about three feet off the floor. In the actual
corner which is about three feet behind the screen is the
center speaker. It is not quite centered on the screen but works just fine. By having it back away from the screen I don't hear
any muffling effect.
Good Luck
