In this thread you can write about your experience with the machine,
settings etc.

I Am very happy with the persuit of the projector, It is very quite, one of the things that bother me with my old projector, the sharpness is very good.
you could describe the picture quality with the Pioneer Kuro Plasma tv.
I have white walls, but because of the lens Aperture you can lower it and still get a very good picture but with very good black.

One thing my wife didnt like was the projector was very big twice the size of the old one ..

Any quetions.

I will be very happy to answear your quetions here.
I am from Denmark so the english is not that good, hope you can understand me.

Hi, congrats on your new toy! I 'm looking forward for mine in a couple of weeks.
Couple of questions: What was your previous projector and how does it compare? what is your screensize? How is the motion handling of the proj? Do you look in THX mode? What are your findings about that? Have you seen DLP 's like IN83 and how do they compare? We all know how good it is in dark scenes, but how does it handle brighter scenes?

Hehe Thanks .
My old Projector was an IN78 and you can see the sharpness is better on the HD750 and the colour is also better, its a big opgrade. The Lumens looks like its the same as my old projector, but with the hd750 I can lower the lumens easy to get better black level and better depth to the picture. The Thx looks like it has been calibrated. when switchen from cinema1 to thx the picture changed dramatical. In cinema1 it was very reddish and changing to thx it just disppear was very natural in colours. Motionshandling was good but not better then in78. tonight i will test it with some SD DVD.
Havent seen the in83 but from review it should be brighter.

Idanhakak, I think you began this "Official" thread a little prematurely.
When we actually have possession of our RS20's in the US the AVS discussions are sure to begin in huge volume.
Can I assume you are not in the US ? You may want to put your location on your sig.

By the way, nice picture of a box .

It's not premature if you already have one.

Great !! How long before you can add some RS20 info to this timely thread ? Probably about the same time I can.
In the meantime I'm so looking forward to more images of 750 boxes until my/your RS20 arrives.

Idanhakak,

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you measure the distance from the lens to the case. Reaon I ask, is I need to figure out if I need to buy a different anamorphic lens and the lens being recessed could be a problem with my current lens.

thanks...........mike

that may have been the poorest unboxing picture sequence ever

first person to properly give the rs20 /HD750 a true unboxing photo treatment gets a cookie

Idanhakak,

The third of your attached photos shows some kind of server/program that you have stored movies on. Could you tell me what program or server this you are using. The picture stirred my curiosity.

Just curious - what is your current anamorphic lens? I have a UH380 I am planning on using with the RS10 and it didn't seem like Panamorph thought it would be a problem.

Thanks very much for sharing with us. I think most of us appreciate your effort and personally have been waiting for this thread for a long time since I sold my HD100 and ordered the HD750. My dealer said the HD750 should be in my house in about 10-15 days.

In other words, you have no value for diplomacy!

If you had bothered reading his original post you would have known where he is from and a quick glance shows that he is new to this forum.

Nice work! I bet your family is proud of you.

Okay i had to hurry a little with the pictures, sorry, i can take some new today if you want. i will measure how big the lens is when i get home from work . but you actually dont need a gray screen with this projector, i get very good blacks when i lower the lens aperture, the brightness falls and white became less white, the same thing a gray screen would do.
i istarted this thread because one in another forum said i should get the honour to start it because i was the first to receive the equiment.

Congratulations on receiving your projector, thanks for taking the time to post your impressions and start this thread, and welcome to the AVS forum.

I am from Denmark so the english is not that good, hope you can understand me.

I would be very interested to know more about the following 2 controls on the new RS20 /750:

1. Is the Tint control active now with HDMI HD inputs?
(This control is not accessible on the RS1 and RS2 with HD HDMI inputs).

2. Theses projectors use a HQV chip for image Sharpening and Noise Reduction.
A similar chip was used with great success in the Toshiba HD -DVD player ..the HD AX2 ..last year. I found the Mosquito NR very effective with Standard Definition DVDs but the control did not work at all with HD DVD disks .
In the new projectors - does the Mosquito NR control work with HD signals or is it again limited to only standard definition inputs?

Any input on these 2 questions would be appreciated.

I use a Prismasonic, 1400/FE. It will be very close at my throw ratio of 1.8. The Panamorph's are a bit larger and better suited for short throw apps.

They are trailers. I notice 1'27" (1 minute, 27 seconds) on some file lengths. If you go to the PSNetwork you can download 480, 720 and 1080 trailers for free.

I have actually downloaded whole movies in 480p a few times.
