Hi guys,

I am new to the forums. I am putting together a theater now and wanted some suggestions. I know there are big concerns with the lumen output from the RS50/60 now and I will wait a bit to see how that plays out but I wanted ideas for screens. I am planning to get the RS60 and don't know what would offer the best in the form of 2D and 3D. My room is going to be pretty dark. I have windows but will get black out shades, so light should not be a problem. I was looking at the SI Black Diamond which is great for ambient light (and even helps with dark rooms reducing the reflected light) but am unsure as to screen gain. Also, in 16x9 I am limited to 113" which may be fine for a 17.5 foot width room. Given the low lumens, I might now want to go bigger than 113" anyway. Can anyone with knowledge about this projector give me some advice? Thanks for the help.

With the .8 BD, I would not go larger than 100" for 2D and that is probably too large a screen for 3D. With the 1.4 BD (which I have not seen in a full size screen) 113" would not be a problem for 2D but 3D will be a little dim (as it is on most everything really).

Thank you. I think I will stick to the 1.4 gain then. I think 113" should be a nice size.
