Suess Electronics and Sound World. Both are pretty decent places to take a look at some gear.

What would be a good (around $1500 ) projector for concerts and movies . (not into games )

The rec room is around 17w x 34 just under 8ft ceiling with a door on screen wall .

One row of seating (couch ) around 10-11 feet away .

I was thinking around 110 " screen ? (not looking to be in the first row of a theater. )

Should I go with AT screen so I can put acoustic treatment behind screen ?

I've been collecting GIK panels because the room is a little "live"
Sorry for the delay, I have been away from the forum for a while.

With the $1500 price point I would try to see if you can get a Sony HW40-ES may be slightly more but close.

With 110" screen I suggest a standard non AT screen *unless you want to get a matching center and put that behind the screen as well.

16:9 or 2:35 is a personal choice.

Inexpensive - Carada

Best Performance - Stweart StudioTek 130 G3

Have not tried it yet.

Theater room has been apart for a while. Will be in the process of putting back together over the next month or so.

Pretty much done with the HT room. Lots of little touch up kind of stuff yet to do but I'm enjoying it now.

I need to dial the whole system in, I don't have the the subs calibrated or the Meridian fully setup and I'd like to add another set of subwoofers. Also need to upgrade to an Oppo 103d. I did purchase a few pair of the Ps3 3D glasses and I think they work much better than the original ones that came with the projector. The buttkickers in the chairs add a nice tactical feel to the bass, it's just hard because every source seems has a different bass punch, some too much others not enough. I'm hoping the Meridian can dial this in better.
