I have a JVR RS1 i bought in 2007, we had a power surge and it fried the hdmi imputs on every piece of equipment i had connected. denon Reciever, PS3, Xbox, Direct TV Receiver, and the JS1. Now, it only fried the hdmi inputs, and only the ones connected, which means, for the rs1, hdmi 2 still worked as well as the component video.

Well, my insurance came in and replaced everything and so i purchased an rs40.

I was still using the projector for outdoor stuff, or when a bulb would blow on the rs40, (which was quite frequently, and hope they have fixed with my 3rd bulb in 1000 hours of usage).

well, the hdmi 2 all of a sudden quit working.

I was wondering, if you are able to order the back end input panel and replace something like this yourself, or if it would be to costly and/or to technical.

If it is to much and to difficult,
does anyone know what the output res through the component video is for the rs1?

I cannot for sure answer, but generally parts for these are not sold direct. Usually only provided to the service center.

For your other question...the component input can take up to 1080i as I recall, which is usually all anything can output as a source. If this is only for backup use, I probably would not worry about the HDMI...
