I just followed the instructions in Ron Jones thread http://www.avsforum.com/t/1419452/projectors-at-cedia-expo-2012

Do a google search to find a sponser that is offering a free code on their website (usually you have to fill out some information on their site) then go to the Cedia web site and apply the code. You get an email with a bar code from Cedia that you scan at one of the hotel kiosks there and your pass should be printed out for you. I have my email with the bar code already so it seems really easy to do.

IFA starts Friday August 31. See http://www.avsforum.com/t/1420161/ifa-berlin-2012-kraines-live-report-from-germany/

Some, but not many, secrets will be held until CEDIA. IFA will have the lions share of press releases on the new models.
