I didn't think it was hard to learn, but it did take forever to get going. Still you can fly around and look at the awesome graphics in 3D without any experience at all. This is one game that actually looks amazing in 3D, especially some of the space stations. You need Nvidia TV Play to play it in 3D, there is a 14-day free trial for Nvidia TV play, and it costs $40 once the trial expires but I think there are coupons. Then you have to install the 3D hud mod for the game. I'm going try Just Cause 2 in 3D in a sec (never played it yet), I tried Alan Wake (that game was too messed up looking in 3D).
X3 won't be very playable on a NON-DLP, though you can mess around in it for a while, but the graphics will ghost severely just like most any game on a non-DLP in 3D.
I did try some older games in 3D too, like Star Wars Battlefront 2 in 3D as well, but for whatever reason the depth is not there in 3D even with it maxed out.
