I am thoroughly enjoying my 6010 with my HTPC using my NVIDIA GTX460 3D Video Card.

My question is that when I set the resolution to HD 3D 1080p 1920x1080 23/24Hz, I cannot set the Frame Interpolation on.... it is greyed out.

If I change the resolution to regular SD. HD 1920x1080 60Hz (non-3D), then I can turn the Frame Interpolatoin on. I understand the projector doesn't do F.I. in 3D model but even if I don't press the 3D button I can't turn on F.I.

I typically leave the resolution at 3D 1080p and turn the projector to 3D Mode only when viewing 3D content (pressing the 2D/3D button and the projector gets brighter and switched to 3D mode). The rest of the time it stays in THX 2d mode.

Thanks in advance!

Set the HTPC res to the regular 1080p non 3D in Nvidia control panel. The projector thinks it's in 3D mode the whole time even if you press the 3D button to turn 3D off.

It automatically switches to a 3D mode when you start a 3D movie so there is no need to select the 3D 1080p option.

I do not believe that FI is active for the Epson's 3D mode with the 5010 or 6010. It may be active with the new 5020 and 6020. DI is not active with 2012 Epsons, but is with their new 5020 and 6020.

I am very interested in your setup.
I have been using an htpc with my projector for years but never did any 3d yet.
What would you recommend as the best 3d video card to use in my htpc (win 7 media center 32 bits)?

I will buy the epson projector myself once I figure out how do 3d with my htpc media center.

Thank you,

F

You guys are right... when I set the resolution to a 3D one, even though I have not set the Projector to 3D mode, I guess it thinks I am sending it a 3D signal.

I have an Nvidia GTX 460 and using PowerDVD 12 for the 3D. Works great! I also rip my BluRays and load them on my 12 TB server and play them through XBMC.

I heard similar things about the 5010 vs 5020 with regards to FI.

As for charlievoviii comment, it would be better to clarify the matter rather than insult forum members for their post.
