For 3D only a DLP would probably be the best: No flicker because of high refresh rates and zero ghosting. If that is important for you go with the Benq W7000. However, the disadvantage of this projector is its weak black level and contrast. Personally I don't like the Frame interpolation in fast scenes (calculation errors). However you are almost forced to us it in 3D on the Benq, otherwise you have pull-down judder (because he shutters with 120Hz, which means 60 Hz per eye, which is not a multiple of 24p).
If you want good 3D with high contrast and good colors go with the Sony HW50 (it is an excellent 2D projector as well). It has little ghosting which can be even further optimized when used with RF glasses. However when you are sensitive to flicker, it is probably not the right choice because it shutters with 96 Hz, which means only 48 Hz per eye. However that way you don't have the pull-down judder-frame interpolation problematic.
There are other good 3D units available, but those two are for sure some of the better ones... as a HUGE 3D fan I own both. They have both their specific strength and weaknesses also depending on the movie you watch. For 3D real life movies I would always prefer the HW50. For animations and very difficult high contrast 3D scenes maybe the W7000.
