I was hoping to get some opinions from current owners of the JVC x70 if it is worth getting this projector or to purchase the new x55.
The new x55 has new eshift2 which I don't know if it is significantly different or not from the original eshift technology. As well,
it has new 8 Band Detection 2K to 4K scaling and new MPC Control with 5 selectable 4K profiles...What does this mean?
Also, the 3d emiiter isnow RF instead of IR which I assume would be better. The lamp is supposed to be better showing only 15%
degradation after 2000 hours. And finally there is an iOS App full remote control of the projector via iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
I auditioned the x30 and liked it, then I saw the X70 and was blown away in comparison, especially with the eshift on.
Bottom line is I can get a great deal on a x70 , a liitle more dollars than a x55 but is the technology in the x55 the same, better or worse.
I assume that newer is always better I figured I'd ask the experts. I plan on watching mostly movies in a dedicated room with a 130" 2.35 aspect
ratio screen.( that took a lot of thinking between that or 16:9 125" on a 13foot wide wall.)
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
