I have an Onkyo receiver with 4K upscaling and would like to use the 4k upscaling on my JVC RS40 projector. I know the RS40 is not 4k "ready", but usually you can display the upscaled format on the lower resolution projector even if it is not at full resolution (i.e. 1080p projected on a 720p projector). Is there some way to accomplish this that I am not aware of as I am unable to get the 4k setting to be recognized by the JVC RS40? Wish I could at least say I am displaying 4k upscaled on my JVC projector - even if it is at 1080p. My experience is the 1080p picture is better even if on a 720p projector.
Thanks.

No, the RS40 can't accept a 4K input. Besides, why would you want to up scale from 1080P to 4K and then down scale 4K to 1080P?
