I bought a replacement lamp for my projector (PT AE300U) and after a few short hours of use, coming from a cold start, I switched on my projector and a "POP" flashed and smoke rose out of my projector. Long story short, The lamp and projector connectors fused together. Apparently this projector does not like replacements or generic lamps!

How hard is it to replace the connector? The part number is :TXANP03VKJ8 and it has the ballast attached to it. I do not want to send it off to Panasonic and get completly bent over if it is a simple install. I can buy the part, no problem and I am already going to have to buy an OEM lamp from Panasonic. Can anyone help me in making this a reality so I dont have to ship off my projecter along with my wallet to Panasonic? Thanks.
