^^^I'm around 2300 hours....would be great if someone chimed in with a bulb source.

This was my first projector. Does JVC stop making the bulbs after so long? Should we be stocking up on them?

No rush...just know that I use my projector for a lot of viewing and will need one sooner than later.

I got a free bulb with purchase. I'm only like 1500hrs in, and it's still plenty bright with the iris at -8, so I'm guessing between the two i'll be shopping for a new projector before a new bulb.

that being said, there's enough aftermarket suppliers that even if jvc stopped producing them, you'd at least have an option. that being said, it appears you can still get bulbs for jvc projectors a few generations earlier than the x35, so I wouldn't panic yet.

Displays: Samsung PN64F8500/JVC X35
AVR: Pioneer VSX-1018AH, 5.1 audio
Sources: HTPC(Mediabrowser), PS3, XBOX360, Wii, Sony DVP-CX995V
Control: Harmony One

I can't see myself shopping for a new projector for a couple years. All Oled and 4k crap is going to take forever.

Well, fierce, would you like to sell me your bulb at a reasonable price? No one seems to want to chime in.
