I was watching my JVC RS1 projector this evening and the power went out. When it came on 3-5 minutes later there is no power to the unit. I checked the plug and power is not a problem. There are no lights on the unit at all and I suspect there might have been a surge. There is no surge protector on this as it is plugged into my ceiling. Power has gone out 30-40 times over the years I have owned this and no issue before.

Is there any reset on the unit or something else I can do to test it? Thanks for your assistance.

I know this is an old thread, but it is new to me. Anyone know if there is a fuse or if the power supplies are still available?

Thanks to Shawn Fogg who posted a link to order parts. smile.gif If it needs it, it looks like I can get a power supply.

Now if I just had a service manual, I would be in business.

In case anyone is interested, I took it apart to check the fuse, which worked with both a meter and 120 VAC. Everything looked ok otherwise as well, so I put it all back together and it has worked fine for a week now...

I never found a service manual.

Waiting On Service Manual

I have a different issue with my RS1... no video input works except the composite. I called JVC service directly and am waiting on them to send me the service manual. I'll let you know what I find.

In the mean time, does anyone have a broken RS1 they would be willing to sell me?

Sometimes my RS1 stops working in a similar manner. I just unplug it from wall and in the morning plug it back in and it works again. I have tried shorter time periods like 30 mins and it didn't see to work. Just something for you to try. Might be similar in time that it took you to take apart and then put back together.
