Did not see this elsewhere; OT but of interest to many (I think)

That will not happen. Look for the Darbee process appearing in the upcoming 4K Radiance by Lumagen. Before you ask or pm me, all I can tell you is that the 4K is coming sometime this year and there will be a trade in program.

My understanding is the current Lumagens do not have enough processsing space or whatever to perform the Darbeeization.

It's already been commented on over on the Lumagen forums and there is no more space in the existing Radiance models to add it as an update. It will be added to the next generation of 4K processors (of which there doesn't seem to be a possibly of a 'Mini' version).

Zooming: Been there, done that, bought the lens...now using e-shift.

I certainly hope the new 4k Radiance is not limited to HDMI 1.4, especially with Ultra HD specification out now and HDMI 2.0 imminent.

Obviously, whatever the connectivity spec., the unit will be consistent with. One designs for certain connectivity requirements but with an architecture which would permit runnung changes to connectivity advancements. This is not the forum or place to discuss the 4K processor. there is a processor forum for that..

Is it definite that there will not be a 'mini' version of the 4K Radiance?

This discussion belongs in the processor forum, not here.

The cost of the 4K processing chip alone would rule out any processor in the price class of a Mini.
