Well, I'm not sure about the Hi-shock emitter but the 3d output of the HC5 is vesa compatible and works with 3rd party RF systems (Optoma, Monster, 3D now, ...).

On the bottom of this page (END of page!) you'll find the pin layout of the cable you'll have to solder for those emitters, maybe your Hi-shock emitter uses a similar layout?

I have another HC5 in the mail coming.
I have omega setup with DLP filtters ( yes...i have tried to get rid of them and get the LCD version) and im gonna make a go with them and try the system.
I´ll report after some testing....propably some quick test next week,s thurday evening...if not im not gonna have time to test untill August 17 propably.
So untill then.... also the Hi-shock active glasses...that i can test AS SOOOON AS THE FRIKIN ADAPTER GETS HERE... im so bored about it.
Oh i also have Awater3D polarizers and a silverscreen to test dual HC5 rig...my silver screen propably is not good enough though.

these are exiting times... i have waited this about 2 years.

I've thought about trying the omega setup also with HC-5's. I have the filters (LCD version) and 20 or so pair of glasses, but I can't afford to pick up another projector right now and it is so expensive to get 3D media. So for now I rent 2 or 3 3D blurays a month and watch them with the active glasses (playstation 3d glasses). I do love the image with the omega glasses: beautiful color, no ghosting, and a rock solid 3D image with no eye fatigue.

Whenever I do it looks really bad. I haven't tried using my Lumagen to correct for the color shift with the cinema filter off since it seemed like a losing battle and that I would really gain any brightness. In fact, at just over 1000 hours I still don't feel the need for any more brightness in 2D or 3D, but my projector is in a batcave environment.

What projector you used when you demoed the omega filtters ?
yes passive is just sooo smooth...it's like 1 chip dlp compared any 3 chip machine after another, it's just so much easier on the eyes with 3 chip.

I actually still own the filters (I bought them when they first came out). I use them with two very old Barco reality projectors, which can only do 720p, but are very bright (and cheap). I really want to try the filters with some newer projector that have some color control (deep reds tend to shimmer a bit on my setup due to an inability to calibrate the colors well)

wrote this on omega thread, but i thought to post it here also.

TESTED....fast test. im on my way to a festival, just got time to build a rack for the second unit and install it yesterday.
remember i have the dlp filtters.
I think the result is better with my Lcos and dlp filtter than with my old setup, LCD with dlp filtters.
I would looove try out the new lcd filtters.
I got some of the colors better but some are still off. plus side no ghosting at all.
the left if i remember corretly had overal yellowish tint that i did not get off at all. the hc5´s cinema filtter has no effect
on on that channel. the right channel was overwhelmed with more blue when using the cinema filtter, so used them at off position
from both projectors. the right channel has a blue overal tint on it still.

i will do more testing when i get back from the festivals. i can also test my polarizers with hc5 but i will not propably compare to a ghost free picture.

motoman is right on one thing, your eyes get used to the signals after while... at the end of my test session i did not see a quite much difference in left and right channel
but as you can see from the jpg´s they are like from differet color world.
But i was a little bothered about the change in whole color universe change when i fiddled with cms and other color settings to trying to get the
left and right colors match.

i have really mixed feelings. propably with the right filtters the result is much better and i gotta say the 3d imersion is much better when there is no ghosting on 3d picture,
like with polarizers. and The active flicker is annoying. i rather watch polarized 3d than active.

Here are the photos

I like the results pretty good, there is still some improvement. If one could get the overal yellow tint off the left and some of the blueish right channel tint off
the picture would be awsome. But it´s still much better result with omega dlp filtters and my lcos PJ´s than with my HQ polarizers and not perfect silver screen.

what´s your take on this motoman. Would i get better result with the correct set of filtters. By that i mean less yellowis overal on left and less blueish overal on right ?

How is brightness compared to watching with active glasses? How's crosstalk compared to HC5's native performance? Is it tiring? Do you notice any color irregularities with your vision afterwards?

Brightnes.... hmm could not ask more, allthouh i have a batcave. I would say atleast double, i have lamp at normal and iris about 6. Other pj has different value.
Crosstalk about zero, if you watch white on black, there is relly faint halo, i mean really low = much more depth on 3d.
i think hc5's active 3d is super crappy. Difference is like day and night. How can passive be tiring ? You are watching 2 2d videos with superb motion interpolation.
well i think 3d is always kind of tiring if the distance between images is high, but i did not notice any active similar tiring.
Yes there is minor tint on eyes after watching. You cant really avoid color tinting afterwards if it is there when watching. Alltough you caNt detect it if not watching with only one eye open.

I found my own answer even though the projector looked
good with 1171 hours on the bulb running in high lamp mode the new lamp is 100 times better. Running in eco mode the image jumps off the 122" screen.
Over all a nice machine for the money. Coming from the RS-46 could not be happier with the motion and DLP pop of the HC5. Is this projector perfect? No but does more right than wrong.

I wonder if anyone could help.

My PJ seems to be showing red tinge in the bottom right and blue tinge in the top right on white screens. only on forum pages or file explorer etc. Not noticeable in films or on the test screens which is odd. Any advice or tips appreciated.

How much the iris is closed? Can you test by fully opening the iris?

I usually have the iris on user (8) or variable. It shows on either but is more pronounce on the variable setting or on any higher bright setting.

The red is actually the lower portion of the screen and blue higher portion but it is more noticeable on the right hand side
