I kind of remember that my old G15 used an analog stage in its final conversion to light. In later JVCs the analog stage was changed to digital, so that current JVCs are 100% digital.

Am I remembering this right?

They use digital drive to set an analog level in the panel.
DLP uses digital drive to set pulse widths on the time domain of on or off.
