Should be available for sale Nov 2 2013 in Canada according to following, one of the exclusive advertisers on Central Projector. Giving discounted pricing CAN$3795, and pre-order available. I am told his pre-inventory pre-order stock are selling. No affiliation with me. Just attaching his email signature. Group buy may get a better price?

be careful with this I tried helping fellow canadian's get a good deal at a better price than that and my post got deleted with a infraction. I guess helping people getting better prices is not allowed, or it is interpreted like we are trying to sell it.

Sorry to hear about that infraction friend. I thought I would add that suggestion thinking off the cuff. I wouldn't have the constitution to try to organize it. Good for you to try.

Did you get a better price afterwards?

Thank very much!

I just got my screen put up yesterday and I'm really hoping they get this thing released soon. Looking at a big white screen isn't doing it for me....

Nice setup.
I am really evaluating this screen with the same projector.
What is your seat and throw distance?
Thanks.

Haven't heard alot of klipsch but from what I've read they sound pretty good.

I'm more of a B&W guy myself :)

I am however curious about the klipsch 7.2 THX system they have.

Read a review in a home theater magazine and they were pretty much stunned so I don't think you can go wrong with a setup like that.

Check out Best Buy's Magnolia sale man. You can get a pair of Definitive Technology BP8060 Super Towers with subs built into each speaker and a free pair of surrounds and a free center channel speaker as well. I have the 8040 system and it's amazing. All for about 2K.

You can sometimes find the Klipsch THX set used for around or just north of that.

I picked up a pair of vintage Klipsch Chorus speakers for $50 off my work classifieds. I bought them with the full intent to sell them for a profit, but made the mistake of hooking them up. My wife hates them b/c they are huge, but I can't part with them.

Sony HW55 - Gamma Correction 2.4 - Low bulb - Iris - I put the measurement I made the 2nd day with 6 hours of lamp life

The only thing that fit was:
- Preset "Film Film 1"
- Brightness and Contrast patterns - Grayscale two points
- The temperature gammut with Staff 3 (adjusting the deviation)
- BT.709 color space
- Gamma Corrector 2.4

I was impressed how well it comes from the factory, I had to make many changes. Very good for Sony by as adjusted at the factory.

So this is the first we've seen of the HW55ES on these boards?

Those lines look very sharp! But you need to use a real camera wink.gif

I wonder how this unit will compare to the HW50. That is to say, I wonder if any changes were made to the SXRD panels themselves.

Can anyone confirm or deny if the Sony HW55ES includes a spare lamp or not? Thank you!
