Hope someone can help me out.
My JVC 4810 almost new only 16 hrs on bulb.
Randomly turns off.
Power light on steady RED
Lamp light blinking AMBER
Warning light on steady RED

The JVC manual does not describe the above led condition.
Pulling the power cord and resetting fixes problem temporary.

Im bummed if I have to send this to JVC.

Bought from AVS "4810 B stock with new lamp"
Makes me wonder what the issue was originally?
I mean the 4810 gets "special" quality control right?

Looking at AVS return policy you only have 15 days and less than 4 hrs on lamp for returns.
Barley enough time to know if you have a dud.
Have not talked to them (AVS) yet as they are not open Saturday.

I should have looked at the return policy before I bought this it seems.

Thanks
Mark

Check the lamp module and make sure it is not lose for some reason.

The return policy is in place, because in the past people abused our return policy. For example, buy a projector to watch the super bowl and then return. Our return policy is pretty generous compared to most of the other companies. Please shoot me an email with specifics on your order.

It sure is. When someone used to do that, it cost us $150 at the minimum. $50+ in labor costs (We hook up a signal generator and run an inspection on all returned projectors) and $100 or more, selling the projector as open box. frown.gif
