Just got word that Epson is releasing the 5030 a middle model and the 3030 this October.

TW8200 Improvements

600,000:1 Contrast Ratio
Improved game latency (1 frame improvement) third mode to processing added (Fine, Fast and Game)
Improved 3D Crosstalk
Frame Interpolation in 3D
Super Resolution in 3D

What stays the same?

2400 Lumens
Chassis
Lamp
Glasses

New Model TW7200

It appears to share same chassis as TW8200 but color scheme is slightly different. The vents are same color as chassis.
120,000:1 Contrast Ratio
2000 Lumens
Same improved game latency as TW8200

Differences between TW8200 and TW7200

TW7200 does not have Frame Interpolation in 3D and Super Resolution

It looks like there will also be a TW9200 model (higher end). I wonder what difference there will be...

it's probably the same thing that epson has done for years with a black model being a dealer model with extra bulb etc but still the same as the 8500, 8700, 5010,5020 etc but being 1 digit higher on model number

If I am understanding the translation correctly, the 7200, would be the equivalent of the 3030? If so then It looks like Epson added a few extra features such as lens shift and the ability to use the split screen over both hdmi inputs. Also, if my math is correct, it looks like when I converted the price they bumped it up around the $2000.00 range.

Cheers

So is there anything really new on these new models? I'm really bored those epson candy land one billion to one contrast ratio advertisements which don't come even close to real world applications.

They also list the TW8200 toward the bottom of the web page. i.e., 7200, 8200 and 9200 are in he line-up for the new 2014 models.

Hi,

I know. It's was the first information on line (6 august 2013), but the "MAJ du 2 september 2013" is an update which says they won't be a 8200 in Europa.

I found the same type of informations on a german website "with" those documents (sorry they are in German).

Range ESPON 2013-2014

http://www.grobi-shop.tv/seiten/file/GROBI-Epson%20Heimkino-Projektoren_%C3%9Cbersicht_DE.pdf

There are not 8200 in the range.

And only a product sheet about a 7200/9200 is available (sorry, it's in German, too) :

http://www.grobi-shop.tv/seiten/file/GROBI-Epson%20EH-TW7200-9200-9200W_Brosch%C3%BCre_DE.pdf

More informations (in English) on the 7200/9200 are available here :

http://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=9&cad=rja&ved=0CFsQFjAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.geekstech.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fepson-announces-eh-tw7200-eh-tw9200-eh-tw9200w&ei=mJAlUtLPMMWL0AW3loG4BA&usg=AFQjCNElTPS_B5jD9pU2f2G_0Uv13qrMwg&bvm=bv.51495398,d.d2k

Im surprised they are not going to offer the 4030 in a home cinema version, 3030 to be exact. Rather, Epson is, sticking with the 3020 to fill the void between the 2030 and the 4030/5030. I was looking forward for the tw7200 to take the place of the 3020.

Cheers

The 5030 is available for ordering but the 3030 (TW7200) is a no go in the states. Epson decided to leave the 3020 in the lineup for another year:(. Not that the 3020 is a bad projector, actually I like it for the price, but I was hoping for something with a little more contrast to bridge the gap between the 3020 and the 5030.

Cheers

Is the European TW7200 the same as US 4030 (minus the mount)?
http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/products/mainunits/overview/12418

With the TW7200 price of £1,899.00, it's £200 cheaper than Panasonic PT-AE6000 (8000 for US market).

I wonder if the black level will be better than the Panasonic? If yes, it'll be a good buy.

YES!

Epson sucks when it comes to their use of numbers for different markets

YES!

Here's the difference, look closely at the difference in name:

PRO Cinema 4030

Home Cinema 7200 (EH-TW7200)

The Pro comes with:

*extra guarantee

*wallbracket

*2 3D glasses (7200 gets you 1)

*sparebulb

*black casing

only supplied by specialist dealers as far as i know.

EU are the Lucky ones this year, we get the 4030 very cheap (minus the aforementioned extra's) giving you probly more bang for your buck then ever before :)
