Hey Guys,

I have a JVC DLA-X55R on order along with a Stewart Studiotek 123" 16x9 1.3 gain screen. The top of the screen will come down about 21" from the ceiling. The projector will be about 17.5 feet from the screen and this is a dedicated theater space with total light control. Theater dimensions are 19.5' L x 13' W x 9'10" H.

1) What is my vertical range for mounting the projector from the ceiling? My soffit comes down about 12" and I was wondering if I could keep it hidden in the soffit or does the lens have to be even with the top of the screen for optimal performance.

2) If it is not lined up with the edge of the screen, will I have to deal with pincushion or other issues?

3) Will a 1.3 gain screen make the image too bright? I will mostly watch movies with little to no light in the theater. I plan on running on low lamp mode to keep the bulb life longer and the fan sound down.

Thanks in advance.
