So at BJ's Brewhouse they have a huge Panasonic ( I think) tv that shows four different TV shows at once.  This is really cool for sports.  Does this technology exist in a projector?  Thanks for the help.

it's probably being split at the source, not the projector. a cable box that can tune 4channels at once or some other presentation system.

Displays: Samsung PN64F8500/JVC X35
AVR: Pioneer VSX-1018AH, 5.1 audio
Sources: HTPC(Mediabrowser), PS3, XBOX360, Wii, Sony DVP-CX995V
Control: Harmony One

There are some expensive split screen devices out there that can do that from 4 cable boxes. You might run into copy protection issues with HDMI sources, but that wouldn't be a problem with analog inputs.

It would be nice if this was built into more TVs/projectors.

It looks like these are called "Video Mixers":

i used to have an old CRT that would display up to 16channels at once(it cycled through them though, so only like 1frame/sec).

seems like cable companies have killed the need for pip type displays. i still have PIP on a few of my tv's, but for the love of me i can't figure out a reasonable way to use them, haha.

maybe when we completely ditch cable, and everything is streaming over the internet we'll get easy to use multichannel viewing again. i mean there's no reason i couldn't open up 4 youtube channels on my HTPC and have them play simultaneously.
