Have a Panasonic DZ6700 projector... its a bit older but they've stopped making bulbs for the thing. What do I do now? I just spent a couple grand on "OEM" lamps that have all the same markings of the original bulbs, minus the sticker on the bulb that says made in china under the housing... Am I stuck only getting fake bulbs? I haven't tried them out yet... should I stick with them?

This was never a HT projector and I doubt anyone here has any experience with it. But it was only a dual lamp projector and replacement lamps for it, a pair, regardless of country of origin, are just not that expensive. Google a bit for best price and cal the vendors advertising them for guarantees etc. You might consider a new projector but you can't get a HT theater projector with 6000 lumens for less than really big bucks

You're right its not HT. Its used in a conference room. The original bulbs are pretty much impossible to find. Phillips no longer makes them, even though the projectors are only a few years old. One of the fake bulbs blew out in an hour...

The bulb warranty would cover that. You might find some new old stock if you hunt around. How have the other fake bulbs held up?
