Hello!

I live in Chile, South America, and I'm going to import my first Proyector.
The problem is that I can't demo them, so my only choice is to read reviews and buy one.

Finally, could you please help me decide between these two, wich I can buy at the same price:

Sony HW55
JVC X55

I'll have a dedicated room, with controlled ambient light.
My use is 50% anime and movies (always with subtitles) and 50% gaming.

I'm already aware that the JVC has awful input lag, so if I buy the JVC, I'll need to buy a second proyector for gaming (like the epson 8350, benq 1070 or Optoma HD131).

Is the Picture Quality of the JVC that much better over the Sony or not?

Thank you very much!

Hello there,

The Sony HW55 looks amazing with gaming..

And less input lag then the JVC..

The JVC has somewhat better blacks but the sony looks also stunning with 2d movies..

The only reason I would choose the JVC and a cheap DLP is if I watched a lot of things. With movies in 2D and 3D, gaming, sports, and HDTV, it gives you a ton of hours
