On a side note, I've wondered if the JVC's are tuned in the service menu a bit for the stock lamp. I know there are some offsets preset in the service menu and I wonder if that is why the stock lamps I have seen have been so much easier to flatten grayscale and come OOTB pretty close.

Ordered an RS4910 from Craig at AVS yesterday. I hope it will be a noticeable upgrade from my Pioneer FPJ1.

For those of you with DVDO iScan Duos and this projector, is there a general consensus on using the CMS in the iScan over that in the PJ, or vice versa?

The 4910 is going to be noticeable brighter, the FPJ1/RS2 was one of their dimmest models in the series.

With the correct settings, the color is very good out of the box on the 4910, there is little need for external processing.
