Looks like the MacBook pros w/ Intel 4000 IGPU and Intel HD 4000 IGPU in general all support 2160P/30 , MacBook Pro with Intel 5000 IGPU and Intel 5000 IGPU in general support 2160P /60 for playback . One would likely require a high performance GPU with dedicated GDDR5 memory for editing ,Mad VR rendering and things like that @4K .

The youtube content has pixelation and noise. Im guessing this is youtube compressing it. Is there any actual REAL 4k (4096 x 2160) video that is uncompressed?

Does anybody know what, if any, Apple's plans are with 2160p trailers? Apple's trailer page is my main source of 1080p trailers and at present 1080p is all they offer. Will they continue to use H.264 or will the start using H.265(HEVC)? Does anybody have a date when we can look forward to seeing 2160p trailers from Apple?

Question about 4k downloader

Thanks for sharing...
I see 4 options for video type in 4k Downloader (MP4, FLV, MKV, 3GP)
I am asking because Not all videos appear to be working as Mp4 on my Samsung 8550.

LMK - Thx in advance.

Uncompressed UHD would be 3840pixels*2160pixels*12bits/pixel*24frames/sec ~= 2.4Gbps, or about 18GB (Gigabytes) for just one minute of content. You're not going to see that.

See what an anamorphoscopic lens can do, see movies the way they were meant to be seen

That's why video, especially at this resolution and bit depth, is compressed. Both examples of video posted by Martinuz are still compressed video. The first is H.264 and the latter is ProRes. He just doesn't understand what uncompressed means.

How do I view or make a 4k demo on a flash drive

I just bought a Samsung UN55HU6840 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD. I realize there isnt alot of content out there. How do I view or download 4k content that looks as good as what I saw in the store. I guess I`m looking for the 4k demo stuff. Is it as easy as downloading 4k content off of youtube and putting it on a flashdrive ? I tried that but my Samsung wouldnt play it.Do I need a 4k converter ? Any info you can pass along would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, the YouTube, Sony 4k demos are 4k/2160. Here's an example of the Sony 4k demo:

YouTube does not allow video downloading, however, just use a third-party software. It's where you will find the best control for downloading online videos. Typically you just paste the URL for the YouTube video you want into the app, and it downloads the highest quality version it can find.
