All:

I'm looking around for an HW50ES with full warranty support from Sony - Haven't been able to ID anything on the web but was wondering if any of you knew of a source that might have a good deal on the last of the stock they are carrying. If I can find one I'd be looking to move next week. I've looked into JVC's newest and Sony's newer HW55ES and think both have been assessed as having only marginal improvements - not worth a $1000 premium over the HW50/X35. I'm upgrading from a 8 year old Panasonic AE900U so I suspect anything I get is going to blow me out of the water - and yes I am a huge 3D fan that is really pointing me to the sony (take a lot of my own 3D video).

Thanks for any leads

I've heard there may be some B stock out there soon but I didn't want to wait to find out so I pulled the trigger on a 55 through AVS. Time to get in the queue with a bunch of you that are waiting for theirs too.

I too, am curious about b-stock pricing and availability. Thinking about replacing my VPL-HS60 that has served me faithfully for many years. Thanks.

I've been talking to Craig Peer and ordered a 55, but could be persuaded to go with the 50 instead. As I recall, there has been an improvement in RC and bulb life? I'll be keeping this PJ for at least 5 years, I think, so the price difference isn't a huge factor. Thoughts?

Just ordered my Sony HW50ES B stock from Mike Garrett at AVS. He answered all my questions and concerns. I got a great deal.
