Was wondering how blurry gaming is when using Epson 5030 in fast mode? Is it a deal breaker for people who game a lot?

its pretty bad. I'm using an HTPC and turning on fast mode made text almost unreadable and looked like it was downscaled to 480p. The Sony HW50 is much better for gaming at 33ms.

You need to get your eyes checked if you can't read text in fast mode. I have a 133" screen and perfect vision and I dont really notice when I'm in fast mode when I'm gaming, because I focus on the game. The only way I really know if fast mode is on or not without checking is if I feel the lag. If I bounce back and fourth I do notice a difference though, because I know what to look for, but my wife doesn't, nor do most other people I've tried to show the difference to.

I 2nd what nickoakdl said... not that noticeable in a game, there are effects but nothing horrible and for movies you can always return it to fine

Would you say it's comparable to Panasonics Smooth screen? Or is it more blurry then that? Super frustrating that fast mode causes this effect, otherwise seems like a great projector.

There is a video on YouTube someone posted that attempts to show the difference between fast and fine mode. They go back and forth several times. I believe it's called epson "5030 fast processing".

Has anyone tried using nvidia 3d gaming on this projector, no one ever says if they do any 3d pc gaming
on it. If not this projector are there any 1080 3d projectors that work with nvidia 3d.
Thanks
