I have just ordered my JVC DLA X-500R & would appreciate some advice as to how should I calibrate my projector to get the best out of it?

Are there any software/light meters that you would like to suggest?

I'm considering CalMan 5 Control with either OEMi1 Display or SpectraCal C6.

Your feedback will be very valuable for me.

Thanks a lot in advance.

From what I understand CalMAN will eventually implement an autocal feature for the 2014 JVC PJ line up, like they have for earlier models.

Greetings,

I use Calman 5 Control along with the C6 meter. I have used the Auto calibration with the JVC RS55 and it worked quite well. The auto calibration with Calman Control for the new JVC line hasn't been implemented by Spectracal just yet. I have done a manual calibration on my RS4910 and the results are excellent. I look forward to giving the auto calibration a go as it makes touch ups a snap...smile.gif

Regards,

Ralph C. Potts

Ralph;

A few quick questions about the the CMS of the RS4910, if I may:

How 'sophisticated' is its CMS, i.e. max. # of points for gray scale? Color gamut: primaries only or also secondaries? Cube?

Thanks!

Regards,

Thanks you all very much for the feedback. I will wait for CalMan to come out with an upgraded version with support for 2014 JVC line.
