Hi all,

My projector has been working just fine, however, I turned it off and all of a sudden I have:

red - standby light

orange - lamp light

red light blinks 5 times continuously on the warning light.

In the manual it only shows up to 4 blinks of the warning light and I was wondering if anyone knows what this means?

The projector will not power up anymore.  I have unplugged it over night but to no avail.

Thanks!

You may need a new processor board.

It runs $449 plus tax and shipping.

But I would call JVC support first.

That fixed my flashing lights and recurring lock up problem on my RS 40.

Hi, I have a RS-45 with the Warning Light Blinking 5 times. Both Standby Light is a constant Red and the Lamp Light is a constant Orange. This occurs about 10 seconds after plugging in the projector. Unable to switch on the projector.

How was your problem solved in the end? Was it a replacement of the CPU Board?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I wouldn't count on getting a response from the original poster, he hasn't been on avs since the day he posted the question. Hopefully, someone can provide some assistance

Yep I went through similar issues with blinking lights, freezing, inability to power off, blue color checkerboards, generally making it unusable. I sent it in for service and it was fine afterwards. Firmware updates and other user interventions did not solve the issues. Contact JVC to get started.
