Maybe IFA Berlin? Press starts sept. 3rd/4th I think and the show starts on friday the 5th. Or maybe at CEDIA shortly after!

I'm surprised we haven't heard any rumours yet, usually someone digs up a secret webpage that wasn't supposed to be public yet

The X35 is bound for an upgrade yes?

The big question is, are JVC going to do for the X35 what Sony have done for the HW55 with the HW40.

Sony have well and truly thrown down the gauntlet. The X35 and HW55 are approaching £3k (UK pricing), but the HW40 is a lot closer to £1.5k.

Come on, JVC. Show us what you've got.

JVC usually keeps things very quiet with there NDA with the few who know. Don't expect to hear anything until CEDIA Sept 10th. JVC does not usually show at IFA.

We know just as much this year at this time as we did last year and the year before that and so on. In other words, nothing. JVC does not talk and we will not know any more after the Berlin show. JVC releases their info at CEDIA.

I thinks it more likely that Jvc won't have an entry level model at all, let alone a stripped down entry level model. My guess is that the x500 replacement will be the base model.

I would be surprised if they conceded the under 5K MSRP market to Sony and Epson.

Can you imagine if the JVC info leaked out now? Just saying everything except the pricing for each model. Now JVC is probably still working on the design, refining it as they generally continue to do until the unit goes into production some time after Cedia. With 3 weeks until Cedia a competing manufacturer could do what exactly with that information to the detriment of JVC? The only info that could be relevant to a competitor is pricing info. The secrecy just generates hype and an eagerness for all to attend the JVC press conference to be the first to know.

I am reasonably sure that the secrecy edict comes from Japan and in fact might actually do so good by preventing mistatements by who I am sure they see as their intellectually inferior American staff.

Better to not let them say anything about anything ever unless it comes directly from Japan.

I hope your right. Its the lack of update for the x35/rs46 this time last year which makes me think that they are abandoning ship at this price point...but I'm just guessing.
An rs46 with a DI would go down well I think so fingers crossed. An rs46 with DI and extra lumens would be a great update.

If something was close to delivery I would think we would know about it.
This is a common marketing strategy to to take buyers out of the market that were contemplating a near term purchase.

I hear they are all true 4K with 120htz input, all 4,000 lumens in 2D and a second set of Lasers for 3D to bring the lumens up to 8,000.

And then they moved to a single organic panel with all three colors embedded to get DLP sharpness and include DCI color space.

All for $3000 MSRP

SOWK. Why did you publicly violate your NDA with JVC? You have given everything away and are now open to a suit by JVC for actual as well as penal damages. Read you damn NDA and delete your post.

I am planning on running three of them in a stack so that I can get good 3D on my 30' wide screen.

Why the smilely? Sounds like a plan to me. You could use the coming AV Science laser projector but a much more economical solution would be to stack 3 of the coming $3K MSRP JVC projectors SOWK spilled the beans on. Your minimum throw will be 42 feet and your room is a bit smaller than that in length. Have you considered using a mirror to get the path length you need?

Have we been good little boys? No. We all have been bad boys and are all getting lumps of coal for Xmas.

This thread is way better than people publishing their wish list wishes for the coming JVC projectors. More light, 4K, laser illumination and all at a price below $3K MSRP. Yada yada.

I just hope someone at JVC could learn how to make a proper RF 3d pj with their excellent blacks. I would bite then.

It is not like JVC is doing something wrong that could be corrected. Its a laws of physics issue with the response time of liquid crystal chips vs DLP chips. The designers with liquid crystal chips are fighting to get enough light out while keeping ghosting or rather cross talk to a low level. The answer for the perfectionist on a budget is to get a cheap DLP for 3D and gaming. And a reflective liquid crystal for other watching.

You can always pay me to come over to your house and spit on you during a "water" scene and if you have a ceiling suspension straps, I can make noises above you...

Sounds like a steal. I currently pay a lot of money to have Russian chicks to come spit on me...now I get it dirt cheap with a JVC projector!!!! Am I getting the JTR "brother" discount???

If I do go to CEDIA this year, JVC will be the first one I go to though.

I think, I'm going to have to start a bigger fuss about not having enough masking for Movies that change aspect ratio's...

Actually I think the selling price will be under $2,500 and will have HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 The single organic 4k panel and DCI color space should work well.
This will be JVC's answer to the new lower priced Sony 4K's to be announced. Looking forward to ordering two at this price. The model number will be 5010.

I love to spread rumors even if they are not true.

Thanks Mark for that info. I did not know it was that hard for DLP chips to perform 3d. Well using 2 pj does sound like the best way. Thanks again.
