Projector Repair companies?

I'm considering sending my JVC HD1 in for repair to Mendtronix. Anyone used them? I've seen a few bad reviews and more good ones.

Anyone know of other options, maybe someone reliable in the Seattle area?

Mendtronix is now the official repair center for JVC projectors. JVC no longer does repairs in-house. Mendtronix is your best bet to get it fixed correctly.

FS: JVC DLA-X500 (Current Model) - $3195
FS: Planar PD8150 1080p DLP Projector - With Upgraded DarkChip 4 DLP DMD - $2495

Thanks, I guess that sort of settles it.

I had a JVC DLA-X500 that needed to be repaired a few months ago. They took care of it quickly (I had it back in 15 days) and seemed to know exactly what the issue was. For in-warranty repairs they simply bill JVC and if it's out of warranty they'll bill you.

What seems to be the problem with your HD1 ? I have an RS1 that has become a real princess about the room temperature being no more than 75, otherwise it overheats and shuts down within an hour. If I try to use high power mode for lamp, it shuts down very quickly. Mendtronix wants more to replace the fan than the projector is worth.
