Projector choice

Simple question...
I'm setting up a theater room and I'm tentatively planning using a 130" wide 2.35:1 1.3 gain screen.
Epson LS10000 or JVC 500R?
Thanks for any input.

Since this is a dedicated room, I assume light controlled. Both projectors have enough brightness to light up that screen, though the Epson will be brighter. Once you get a bunch of hours on the Epson, at least 5,000 hours, then at that point a new lamp in the JVC might be a touch brighter. Of course 5,000 hours is a lot of hours. I think a lot of it comes down to, how long you are going to keep the projector. If planning on more than 3 years, then the Epson looks like it could be a pretty good choice. If you plan to up grade to 4K in three years or less, then I would definitely go for the JVC. In three years, the money saved on the Epson would go a long ways toward a true 4K projector.

Thank you for the response. I think you said what I am thinking but for some reason I keep trying to talk myself into the Epson. I assume I'll be running both in "high lamp" mode when zoomed for scope viewing correct? How many hours can I expect to get out of the JVC lamps then? I think my concern comes from the fact that my last projector was a JVC X3 and it was never very bright and got very dim after 100-200 hours on a bulb.
