I am running an HTPC and connecting to an LCD projector. I currently use a 50 foot cable on my InFocus 720 @ 800x600 with no problems, but in ceiling mode it has a problem. I am going to get a new projector and use the HTPC @ 1024x768 with the same cable.

Has anyone had other problems with a 50' cable? Any other suggestions?

Thanks..

From my experiences with 50' VGA cable runs, it often depends on the projector and its abilities to "pull" the signal that length. Which type of cable you use might also make a differnce (i.e. 3x Shielded is better than 2x Shielded, etc.)

You can also try a Distribution/Amplifier. That has been known to boost the signal and might be enough to correct your problem
