Using a wireless

I don't know where else to post this.

I am moving to a new house and running a cable through the roof to connect to my Epson projector is going to be quite difficult. does anybody use a wireless HDMI system and is there any loss of picture quality?

Don't you have to run wires to power the projector and the wireless transmitter?

There are a number of wireless HDMI systems out there that will work well for a situation like this. In terms of PQ you need to think about it like an HDMI cable, in that, there's either going to be picture or not. In the digital realm there's no such thing as a loss in picture quality. The signal either gets to your component or it doesn't. If it doesn't you simply won't get a picture or it will stutter in and out of receiving the signal.

I believe Monoprice has a good wireless HDMI solution. I'd look into that.

It's not quite that easy, some wireless HDMI systems use compression to reduce the bandwidth required, which can affect picture quality. It sounds like the latest ones claim they send video uncompressed, in which case, yeah, it would be like an cable, and get there or not.

See what an anamorphoscopic lens can do, see movies the way they were meant to be seen

That is what I thought, some Epson projectors come with wireless HDMI, I wonder if their system is loss-less?

He probably has electric already in his attic for lighting, so running power to a new ceiling box won't be that hard. Running a long HDMI is more involved.
