Using a G10, approx. 9'x5' 16:9 screen, sitting ~10 feet away. Cannot see the pixels.

I use a 2.8 gain screen and find the brightness in this configuration to be very adequate, although not outstanding.

Currently 7 ft. wide and 9 ft. away. With the arrival of the Pannie though, that will change to 8 ft. wide.

Thanks guys, I'm contemplating 96x54 with first row about 11' back..

I was/am afraid that may be too close, and would have thar "front-row-of-the-theater" feel..

I'm also in the 96x54 camp. I normally sit 12' away but the position of my couch is quite flexible, so I'll move closer (or further) at a whim.

Thanks guys. You folks have some really BIG screens, and many of you sit pretty close.

I'm feeling better about my planned screen and seating distance.

Anyone else???

Did IQ's suddenly drop sharply while I was away?
I enjoy 3D in spite of HDMI 1.4!
Full screen only 3D doesn't cut it!

87" x 48" (16x9), G20 onto Grayhawk, sitting 14 feet back.

I would have gone with a larger screen, but that was all that would fit.

Can someone tell me if you can see the pixels from less than one screen width away? I'm looking to to a 10'*6' screen and sit around 10' away (for the first row) and I want to know if you can see the gap between the pixels from that distance. How does it hold up if you get closer?

Regards,

Kam Fung
