First of all, I'd like to give a big thank you to Peter for opening up his NYC apt to let us check out his setup. It was quite spectacular! And the projector wasn't bad either! http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

One thing we noticed was that on parts of the picture with a lot of detail, such as (from Erin Brokavich) a wicker basket, the edges of pages in a book, horizontal blinds (in the distance), etc., there was some kind of pulsating/flickering action going on. This seems to be some kind of scaler artifact. First of all, is there a name for this artifact?

Also, his source was WinDVD on a Radeon-based HTPC, to his HT200, with an ISCO II lens. I would not have expected to see any artifacts on his setup? Does anyone else see this type of artifact through a good scaler or HTPC?
