I installed an InFocus LP-925 projector today for a customer and was unable to get a progressive sync from an Apex AD800 DVD using component inputs on the projector. It works fine as long as you select interlaced on the player.

I called InFocus tech support and they told me that NO InFocus projector supports 480p.

anyone have thoughts on this one...?

That is what Infocus told me, although I have also heard that some software mods on some projectors do work.

projectorcentral.com has an excellent database, which also says that 480p is not supported by the LP925.

The good news is that Infocus' video processing from 480i is so good that you almost don't miss having 480p.

[I confess to not understanding how they could manage to miss this capability on a machine that started shipping in Dec 2000.]

I actually called pre sales support before I ordered the projector and DVD player to make sure it was supported and was told it was.

Then the call today produced the new revelations.
